Yarj! I drove my Elise into a ditch last night!
The Emberex Holiday Party was at our house last night. I always park the Elise at the end of the driveway so people can find the right house. (The car’s a celebrity, after all.) After the party I got a ride to the end of the driveway to get the car.
It was raining (or maybe snowing) and cold, and the Elise was all fogged up. I couldn’t see forward at all, but it’s my own driveway. How lost could I get?

Motocorsa held a track day for cars at Portland International Raceway this Monday. They didn’t get enough drivers to sign up, so they opened the event to bikes. Got lots of bikes.
There were just two run groups, one for bikes and one for cars. So each group was on the track for half the day. That was great.

No, not the APX, the Elise. At the All-British Field Meet, four Elises were sitting among older Lotuses. And compared to the classics, the Elise is a HUGE car! Taller, longer, wider, heavier. It’s at least four inches taller than an Europa, which is a couple of inches taller than an 11.
Weight is the enemy, and the enemy is us.

"Celebrating Jaguar"
On Saturday, Anne and I went to the All-British Field Meet at Portland International Raceway. Over six hundred cars were there. Jaguar was the featured marque.

Anne decided to join me in Ashland Friday night, so I drove straight from San Jose to the Greyhound station in Medford to pick her up. We had dinner in Ashland, then on Saturday we spent a few hours downtown and in Lithia Park. Came straight home, got here around 4:00 PM.
End of trip. Don’t want to drive the Elise for a few days… (-:
